<p>Polar satellites - Satellites in LEO orbits that are in a plane of the two poles. Their applications include the ability to view only the poles (e.g., to fill in gaps of GEO coverage), or to view the same place on earth at the same time each 24-h day. Polar orbits are typically used by LEO communications satellites as well as research, weather, and surveillance satellites.</p>
