An Activity is a defined piece of scheduled project work that consumes time and may require resources.

Activities are sequenced, estimated, and tracked to build and manage the project schedule.

Project schedulers and team leads use this concept when building schedule models, reviewing progress, and explaining the impact of delays or sequencing changes.
