CIP Glossary Definition

This term is the same as CPT with the exception that the seller also has to procure insurance against the buyer's risk of loss or damage to the goods during the carriage. This term may be used for any mode of transportation.

This term is used when a concept is broadly technical, cross-disciplinary, or does not fit cleanly into one more specific glossary category.

Information management credential. This glossary entry distinguishes professional certification, certificate, credential family, accreditation, exam, and training-program language so resumes, job descriptions, training plans, and qualification matrices can be interpreted accurately. No accreditation claim is made unless the credential owner or accreditor was explicitly verified.
