An endpoint is a specific address or route where an API receives requests for a resource or operation.

Endpoint is a Telecommunications network concept used to connect endpoints, route traffic, switch calls or packets, and move communications across access, transport, or core networks.

API documentation describes endpoints together with HTTP methods, parameters, authentication, request payloads, response formats, and errors.
