Microsoft Entra ID Glossary Definition

Microsoft Entra ID is a cloud identity and access-management service from Microsoft. The record preserves the older naming context without treating related products as a simple one-to-one rename.

Formerly known as Azure Active Directory, it provides authentication, single sign-on, multifactor authentication, conditional access, and identity integration for Microsoft and third-party services. Former or related names include Azure Active Directory, AAD.
