Network Access Control (NAC) is a security approach that evaluates and controls whether devices may connect to a network.

Context & Usage

NAC can use identity, device posture, ownership, location, and policy to restrict access or place devices into appropriate network segments.

Security and infrastructure teams use this concept to reduce exposure, enforce access boundaries, inspect traffic, and limit the impact of compromise.
