HCM Glossary Definition

Human Capital Management (HCM) is a set of practices related to people resource management. These practices are focused on the organizational need to provide specific competencies and are implemented in three categories: workforce acquisition, workforce management and workforce optimization.

In enterprise and customer-service systems, this term helps business and technical teams describe configured processes, transactions, customer interactions, service workflows, or platform behavior. It is relevant when implementing, documenting, supporting, or improving operational systems.
