Resource Leveling Glossary Definition

Resource Leveling is a scheduling technique that adjusts activity timing to resolve resource over-allocation or availability constraints.

It may change the project finish date when constrained resources cannot support the original schedule.

Project managers and functional managers use this concept when matching work to available capacity, skills, responsibilities, and team operating agreements.
