Integrated Education and Training Glossary Definition

Integrated Education and Training is an Adult Education model that combines foundational academic instruction, workforce preparation, and occupational training within a coordinated program.

IET is important in AEFLA and WIOA implementation because the academic, workforce, and occupational components are intentionally aligned around shared outcomes. Some usage is tied to U.S. adult education policy or reporting and should be read in that context.
